THE HEART OF OUR HOME

After they discovered they shared this dream, they began researching programs in the Philippines and around the world that help aging out children and young adults. They discovered that the need was great and the available help was limited. They learned that every 2.2 seconds, worldwide, an orphan ages out of the system and most commonly ends up living on the streets where they are vulnerable to prostitution, exploitation, human trafficking and substance abuse. Candace and Madi  both knew they could not turn a blind eye to this world-wide problem. That is why The Mango Home was created - to create a family unit for girls aging out of the orphan care system in the Philippines.

The Mango Home was founded by Candace Jeffcoat and Madi Bennett in 2018. Each had worked in various children's homes in the Philippines and around the world. Over time, the Lord began opening both their eyes to the need of helping girls and young women who were aging out of the orphan care system. Each founder felt the Lord working in her heart to begin a home for girls aging out of the system who needed a support system and family unit. After working together, they realized they both shared the same dream to build a home to meet this need.
